How can we help?

Standup TopicsCustomizing standup questions

StandupWizard ships each new standup with a default set of commonly used agile standup questions:

  • How are you feeling today?
  • What did you accomplish yesterday?
  • What are you trying to get done today?
  • Do you have any blockers? (optional)

With that said, you may want to ask different questions which is fully supported within StandupWizard. To edit questions, go to your standup settings (you can also edit them on standup creation) and navigate to the "Questions" section where you will find all of your current questions:

Question list

From here you can rearrange, edit, delete, or create new questions. Standups support up to 5 active questions. When a question is deleted, it is only archived in order to perserve any reports that have answered it in the past (which also allows you to still filter reports with it). You can also unarchive previous questions at any point.

When creating or editing a standup question, you will have to fill in the following:

  • Question Text: What will be asked
  • Question Type: Select list or text field
  • Select List Options: Only if a select list type is chosen
  • Required Question: Whether or not the question is required by the participant

The question editing dialog looks roughly like the following:

Worth noting is that if you update a previous question rather than creating a new one, all previous reports that have answered it will now show as having answered the new, updated question.
